New Delhi, August 15, 2025 — In a landmark initiative to make long-distance travel smoother and more economical, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has launched the Toll FASTag Annual Pass priced at ₹3,000, offering 200 toll-free trips on designated National Highways (NH) and National Expressways (NE) over 12 months.

🛣️ What Is the Toll FASTag Annual Pass?

Designed exclusively for non-commercial vehicles (cars, jeeps, and vans), the pass integrates with the existing RFID-based FASTag system, eliminating the hassle of repeated recharges for frequent travellers. It automatically deducts charges from a linked prepaid account — now with a bulk-discounted advantage.

📍 Where Toll FASTag Annual Pass Works

✅ All National Highways & National Expressways under NHAI
❌ Not valid on State Highways, city tolls, or private roads
❌ Not usable for commercial vehicles, taxis, or buses

📝 How to Activate

1. Download the Rajmarg Yatra app or visit the NHAI/MoRTH website
2. Verify your vehicle & FASTag details
3. Pay ₹3,000 via UPI, card, or net banking
4. Activation within 2 hours, confirmed via SMS

🔄 For Existing FASTag Users

• No need to purchase a new FASTag
• Must be linked to a valid Vehicle Registration Number (VRN)
• KYC must be completed
• Not applicable if the tag is blacklisted

🚦 Trip Counting Method

• Open Toll System (Delhi–Chandigarh): Each plaza = one trip
• Closed Toll System (Delhi–Mumbai Expressway): One entry–exit pair = one trip

After 200 trips or one year, the pass automatically switches back to pay-per-use mode.

• Cut wait times at tolls → less fuel wastage

🚫 Restrictions

• Non-transferable to another vehicle
