Under the newly announced process, students who passed the Class X or Class XII Board Examination in 2026 and secured 85% or above can submit their academic credentials directly to the Conclave Organising Committee for consideration.

The initiative comes ahead of the Education Excellence Conclave 2026, scheduled to be held on 22 August 2026 at Rabindra Bhawan, Chinsurah, Hooghly, West Bengal.

Importantly, the organisers have confirmed that there is no application, registration or participation fee for students seeking recognition under the initiative.

Why Has Direct Student Application Been Introduced?

Until now, outreach for the Conclave’s student recognition programme has primarily been conducted through schools, with institutions invited to nominate eligible academic achievers.

But relying exclusively on institutional nominations can leave out deserving students whose schools may not be participating, may not have responded to the invitation, or may not have completed the nomination process.

The newly introduced individual application route addresses that gap. An eligible student or parent can now submit an application directly for consideration by the Organising Committee.

The school nomination route will continue. Individual applications are an additional pathway and do not replace institutional nominations.

What Will Selected Students Receive?

Students whose applications are successfully verified, selected and officially confirmed will be invited to attend the Conclave and receive ceremonial recognition for their academic achievement.

85% Makes a Student Eligible to Apply — Not Automatically Selected

The organisers have drawn an important distinction between eligibility and selection.

A student securing 85% or above satisfies the basic academic threshold to submit an application. However, submission of an application does not automatically confirm participation or felicitation.

Applications will undergo scrutiny and verification before the Organising Committee communicates its decision.

Why the Conclave Says Excellence Must Go ‘Beyond Marks’

While academic distinction forms the eligibility basis for this particular student recognition programme, the Conclave’s larger philosophy extends beyond examination performance.

Its theme, “Beyond Marks: Celebrating Excellence, Leadership & Character”, seeks to place academic achievement within the broader purpose of education.

High examination scores represent an important milestone, but the organisers argue that education should also help young people develop confidence, character, leadership, creativity, responsibility and the capacity for lifelong learning.
