The much-awaited 4th Edition of the Lantern Fest at Saraswati World School turned the campus into a vibrant hub of creativity, curiosity, and celebration of knowledge. The annual event, held with great enthusiasm and participation from students across all grades, shone brightly as a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering innovation through education.
✨ An Auspicious Beginning

The event commenced with a felicitation ceremony honouring Vice-Chairman Sir, Mr Vinod Singh, and Principal Ma’am, Mrs Shyamasree Biswas, followed by the garlanding of Saraswati Devi Ji’s portrait. The lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries symbolised the eternal flame of wisdom, marking the beginning of an inspiring day dedicated to learning and discovery.

In his motivational address, the Vice-Chairman urged students to “follow their curiosity rather than the curriculum,” emphasising that true innovation begins where questions outshine answers. He encouraged young learners to experiment, think freely, and explore their interests with courage.
Following this, Principal of Saraswati World School, Mrs Shyamasree Biswas, applauded the relentless efforts of students and teachers alike. She highlighted how science and creativity can be woven into daily life, inspiring everyone to see learning as an ongoing journey, not just a classroom activity.
💡 A Fest of Knowledge and Creativity

Saraswati World School grounds buzzed with excitement as 45 working models prepared by students from Science, Language, Mathematics, and Social Science departments took centre stage. Under the meticulous guidance of teachers, each project radiated originality, teamwork, and artistic flair.
From mid-morning till noon, the fest witnessed a stream of enthusiastic visitors, with guardians arriving post-12 p.m. to cheer and admire the students’ creativity. The atmosphere was electric — corridors filled with scientific experiments, literary art, mathematical logic, and cultural insights that turned the campus into a living exhibition of imagination.

The prize distribution ceremony held in the afternoon honoured the best minds of the day.

- 🥇 1st Prize: Cathode Ray Discharge Tube — Class 9
- 🥈 2nd Prize: Indian Army Defence System — Class 6
- 🥉 3rd Prize: Renewable Sources of Energy (Wind, Hydro, Solar) — Class 11
A special recognition was awarded to a Class 7 student for creating an inventive, playful science model that showcased how learning can be both fun and meaningful.
